East to the Judean desert

Kfar Adumim – On the way to Qumran, a lookout in the heart of the Judean desert. A magnificent view of the Kelt riverbed as it crosses the desert on the way to the Jordan will be appreciated, as well as a look at the inspiring desert scenery. With the approaching holiday of Hanukah, we will "meet" those pious Jews who left their homes 2,000 years ago and hid in the caves in this desert, in an attempt to flee from the decrees of the wicked King Antiochus.

Qumran – A full tour of the fascinating site of the Dead Sea sect including the aqueduct, the numerous ritual baths, the refectorium where members of the sect ate together, the scriptorium where the scribes wrote the famous dead sea scrolls and a look at the caves where the scrolls were discovered.
